"Fundong Will Now Have A Catholic College And A Health Centre." Archbishop Andrew Nkea.

The Archbishop of Bamenda made this statement while presiding at the golden jubilee of St Jude's Parish Fundong on Saturday the 13 of November 2021.

In his homily, the Archbishop stated that "a jubilee is a time for the Christians to thank God, face the future with hope, count achievements, cancel debts and seek peace and reconciliation. "He lamented the state of Belo and Njinikom towns and castigated the Anglophone crisis. He went ahead to announce that Fundong will now have aa Catholic College and a health center. He then urged everybody to send their children to school as it is the only way to prepare for their future. Making reference to the Gospel of the day, he enjoined people to pray for their needs without ceasing, even for the end of the Anglophone crisis which seems to be lasting too long.

The next item was the confirmation of about eight hundred candidates from all parts of the parish. After the Holy Mass, the Archbishop blessed the jubilee plaque and laid the foundation stone of the jubilee project which is a youth center. The youth center will be partly two floors and have a hall, rooms for computer studies, tailoring, hairdressing, knitting, embroidery and offices. This was followed by traditional dances and choral music.
